Lecture Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Historically, whitework (white embroidery, also known as needle lace), which can be described as European elegance, was a refined hobby of the noblewomen of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Yamana & Hemslojd whitework masterclass involves the completion of 49 stitch samples and the creation of three works. These include drawn-thread work (doronerwork) which creates a lace effect by pulling threads, Hardanger work which involves cutting the fabric, Hedebo work using cuts and buttonhole stitches, as well as fabric insertions (insertion lace) and edge finishes (edge stitches).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who have completed the cross-stitch master course should be able to proceed with ease, but it is also possible to challenge from the beginning. Graduates of the course will receive a certificate of completion.

The initial materials sent will include a set of text and fabric and thread suitable for the techniques.
Each technique is explained in detail with illustrations.
First, create several stages of samples, from basic to advanced, for each technique such as drawn thread work and Hardanger embroidery, following the text.
The binder format text clearly explains tips for insertion and how to use scissors.
I will create stitch samples according to the text, and submit all samples and works attached to the text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each sample will be assessed for pass or fail, and only the failed sections will be recreated.
The deadline is one year, but an extension is possible.
This text, with self-created examples, can be treasured as your go-to textbook for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
