Yamanashi Hemsl\u00f6jd<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2026 marks the 55th anniversary of Yamanashi Hemsl\u00f6jd's activities. The new homepage logo celebrates the bond with all the artists, instructors, staff, and customers who have supported us throughout our journey, whilst also symbolising the 50th anniversary of our partnership with the Danish Handcraft Guild<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark this occasion, we have expanded the range of products available in our online shop<\/a> and relaunched the site.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wishing you a happy midsummer. Thank you for your continued patronage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, Northern Europe and the rest of Europe have already experienced three heatwaves, leading to an increase in the introduction of \"climate holidays\" considering the environment and health. Tokyo is also expected to continue to suffer from extreme heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yamanashi Hemsl\u00f6jd Omotesando store will be closed for a two-week summer holiday. During this period, some classes will still be held. We will be accepting enquiries by email and our online shop will be open, but please allow 3-4 days for replies and dispatch. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused to customers with urgent orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be making good use of this period to set up our \u201cbehind-the-scenes\u201c work, including in-store maintenance and preparations for our 55th anniversary exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exhibition contents: <\/strong>Embroidery, weaving, knitting, original works by participants, works by instructors since its founding, and new works by Mikiko Yamanashi<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 50th-anniversary exhibition, held during the COVID-19 pandemic, has now become a cherished memory, and this time the theme, \u201cFlower Garden,\u201d was decided early on. The exhibition will feature decorative works for windows, walls, and chairs, created using a variety of techniques to beautifully enhance everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being able to hold a commemorative exhibition with flowers as the motif for our 55th anniversary can be seen as the realization of an eternal dream in a world where wars continue to rage in many places. It is also amazing that nearly 70 of our colleagues have become engrossed in creating original works again after a five-year hiatus, and it has been a great source of strength and encouragement for me. It can also be described as a quiet, peaceful time to dedicate ourselves to our craft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This commemorative exhibition in Omotesando is the first in 15 years. We hope you will enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time here. We look forward to seeing you and hope you will come and enjoy the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
